The real interviewer was accompanied by a senior person that was rude, barely let me finish a sentence, and argued with every answer I gave; he did his best to discourage me from my career path. I understand some interviews are designed to make people uncomfortable to some degree, but this went beyond that. The truly disconcerting part was, although this position title implies that analysis is part and parcel, when I touched upon discovering and addressing the root cause, and getting beyond the symptom is what a Business Analyst worth his or her salt would do, the senior person told me that I should just do what the client says, even if it's only a bandaid solution that would incur a boat-load of technical debt. I suppose he could have been testing me, but the belligerent manner in which he spoke was too much for me. At one point, they gave me paper and pen and asked me to draw what a "job interview" might look like. Although I began drawing a process model, I was so taken aback by how the interview had progressed that I shut down; I had no interest in continuing, so I said "I don't believe this is a good fit" In a nutshell, were I offered a position at DXC, I would decline.
