J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez DRW (Chicago, IL) en nov. 2011

The HR dpt is quite reactive and listen to its employee's referrals usually. I was contacted right after sending my resume to an employee to set up a phone interview (45min). Then, they would invite you to Chicago for longer interviews.
I have $1M on hands. You're invited to a gangling game. Tails: Payoff: twice you bet (if you bet $1, you will get $2+ your bet). Heads= you lose your bet. How much would you bet (it's a one-off gamble, no second chance).
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez DRW (Londres, Angleterre) en févr. 2025

The process lasted a total of 6 months, with a total of 7 interviews, a mix of technical interviews and tests. I had 2 'final' interviews.
The whole time I was kept in the dark about the status of my application and reasons for delay, despite constantly requesting this information. I asked to have a call, only to be told that the role isn't going to be filled and that they've lost the headcount. Terrible treatment on the back of a terribly managed process.

The phone interview was primarily based on personality and fit questions, with a couple of brainteasers included near the end. There were almost no technical questions included, aside from the online mental math quiz.

Question 1
If I gave you $100,000, what would you do with it? How many quarters would it take to fill a 20x20x10 foot room?

HR was very helpful, Interview time was arranged by email. Interviewer did not make you feel at ease but it is completely random who you get. A relatively important issue is that the call you through speakerphone and the sound coming through is somewhat muffled.
