The role of a DAAD lecturer is to represent German higher education in a teaching role at a foreign university. DAAD Lecturers are interviewed by a committee of three. The duration is about 20 minutes. There is usually not too much guidance from the DAAD as to the interview, however, they were happy about a short ppt presentation. The interview is focussing on both, academic experience and international exposure. The committee is not necessarily a specialised expert panel experienced in the field of the applicant. Thus, the applicant should expect relatively general questions. The meeting can be attended by a member of the host institution abroad who has no voting right but may ask questions.
