J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez D R Newitt (Édimbourg, Écosse) en févr. 2026
Entretien
I went in for an initial chat and felt the tone was very relaxed and conversational. I was then asked to meet the owner, who was in a meeting at the time. I was told they would call the next day to arrange for me to come back in, but I haven’t heard from them since.
I don’t mind not getting the job; however, I believe it’s common courtesy and respectful to follow up with candidates — even if it’s just to say, “You’re not the right fit for us.” Providing brief feedback would also be helpful so candidates know what they can improve on for similar roles in the future.

Question 1
General understanding of the role and how skills applied
J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez D R Newitt (Édimbourg, Écosse) en juin 2025
Entretien
I applied via the website. Called by Forbes Gunn, covered the role. Went well. Had second phone call with Forbes, went through my background. Quickly invited to an in-person interview with Forbes. Went well and very conversational in tone. Immediately asked to come in again to meet the owner (Stephanie Newitt) and head of Edinburgh office. Went into the office again. From my perspective, all went well and was positive.
Followed up via email weekly 3x to express my interest and if there are any next steps.
Fast forward 6 weeks later and none of those emails were acknowledged, no decision communicated. In fact there has been no communication at all.
Very poor form considering I took two days out of my current role to meet with them. A courtesy email saying thanks but no thanks is the absolute minimum I would expect from any company (let alone a recruitment firm!!)
If they ghost candidates for their own company after 4x conversations then I can't imagine how they treat the candidates for their clients.

Question 1
General background information. Things around culture, way of working, drive. Nothing out of the ordinary. No preset questions that I could identify.

Entretien
After applying I went through a series of calls. The first was informal and allowed me to ask questions and gain an understanding of the business, it's culture, and practices. A second video call followed, where I was asked questions to address my understanding of the role and how my experience and skills would match with it.
