      Entretien

      You have your first interview with someone from HR at their main office. You discuss the job details and scenarios that have happened to workers in the past. You'll talk about what you would do. Some role playing may happen and you'll talk about the next steps of the following interview. If you get asked to come back you'll talk to the CEO and understand more about the company transitioning into more intense psychiatric care rather than substance abuse. They will tell you situations they have been in with clients and ask how you would react. They'll talk about team work and self care since this job is very high stress. They'll ask you how you would run a group when one person is actively in psychosis and experiencing auditory and visual hallucinations. How would you address their outbursts and how would this become a learning moment for the group? They only want people they know can handle high stress situations with adults, other experience with children and adolescents is nice but not the same as adults.

      Hello, Our company has a tedious process because we want to make sure that we hire people that are going to care for our patients during this dark and stressful time in their lives. Being in treatment isn't easy to say the least, so having individuals around them with compassion and continuously encouraging them through this process will be key in a successful discharge for our patients. Our staff is very diverse in regards to education and experience in the mental health field. Some people have little to no experience while others have years of experience in the mental health field. We are willing to add to our team individuals who want to grow, are coachable, and have the compassion for patients. We are very transparent about ours experiences with patients. We specialize in crisis stabilization, so we like to let potential candidates know up front of the different situations they may be faced with. We'd like them to know up front rather than be hired and faced with a crisis situation thinking this may not be the career for them. We want to make sure that we prime candidates and take our choosing who can we add to our amazing team and help us deliver excellent customer service.

      Entretien

      First, you interview with the HR guy, then you have an interview with the Program Manager. Then, you have to do a 90 min group therapy. The Program Manager only observed 10 min of the group b/c apparently, she had important phone calls to make. It was not enough time to make a solid evaluation of the candidate. The interviewer also looks on the candidate’s LinkedIn profile.
