There's an initial interview with the recruiter, then it was followed by a second interview with the hiring manager. I got favorable feedback, hence, I reached the final interview with another one of the managers. It went well, with the managers saying I seemed like the perfect fit for the position, although they were transparent that it might take time before they can extend the job offer to me as they were also looking for someone that I'll be working alongside. Naturally, I felt hopeful, but weeks passed turned into a month, and nothing. Normally, it seemed like a clear sign that the application fell through but I didn't want to believe it right away cos they were so transparent in our prior communication. I followed up with my recruiter but unfortunately, I never got an answer back. Obviously, I got ghosted. Eventually, I found out the position is already filled. Normally, I wouldn't take it personally but I won't deny I'm extremely disappointed. They could have at least sent me a rejection email.

I only had an initial phone screening with the recruiter but the interview process seemed standard. Had I moved forward, I assumed there would have been two to three more rounds.
