J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 jour. J'ai passé un entretien chez Cushman & Wakefield (Los Angeles, CA) en août 2012

      Entretien

I met with the Marketing Manager for about an hour. The Marketing Manager was very nice, but the building itself, the company culture, and the overall feel of the company was very cold and dull, even for a corporate environment, and this is coming from someone who has worked in the Marketing Departments for other commercial real estate companies before. Since it was a creative position, the interview consisted of mostly of the TMAY question ("Tell Me About Yourself") and the rest of the interview was spent showcasing my portfolio and the Marketing Manager showing me the company's marketing projects. After the interview, I emailed the Marketing Manager thanking for the time for the interview, but that I would like to withdraw my application from the position, and I wish them well in their search. There were a few red flags regarding the position I was applying for, and even though I have been unemployed for 4 months, I would rather work as a janitor than take this position. I read on some Glassdoor reviews that the company is not up-to-date when it comes to software or hardware, and as someone who has interviewed, I completely vouch for this. They do not use industry-standard software that would totally increase efficiency with their marketing department, and my overall impression was that there is little to no budget in that particular department. For a company who is supposedly worth a lot, it's disturbing to see how backwards it is, and how the process is still stuck int he early 1990s (if that) with too many cooks in the kitchen. I have been on many interviews, and even if it wasn't a fit, most of them I felt good about. For this particular position and company, I literally had a headache walking out of that interview and felt sick to my stomach thinking about working there. The pay isn't particularly great considering there's an expectation of overtime (staying until 11 pm is ridiculous!) since it's salary. I'm not walking away from this position- I'm running away, and running fast as I can without looking back!
