J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Cruise en févr. 2018

3 phone interviews which were equally painful. I felt like I was speaking with 10 year old children who just rattled off information without much passion nor knowledge. Also, what's with this many phone interviews? Either bring a candidate onsite or not! Wasting everyone's time. Recruiting team there needs some serious help. Also, people skills would be great. I know you are building autonomous cars, but you are not robots. Also, one of the cars almost ran me over!!!!

The interview process was extremely lengthy (9 interviews). A ton of start and stopping over several months. Seemed disorganized (set up interviews with the same person twice, in which they were unaware). They don’t seem to believe in any level of work life balance and site unlimited PTO to curb this. The employees seemed overwhelmed. Was told it was a rollercoaster by an interviewer. Not very open or inclusive to those who work outside of the major tech players( Google, Meta, etc). After going through the 9 interviews and being told I’d hear back within a few days, 3 weeks later I received a rejection email at 9pm. Overall the worst interviewing experience that I’ve ever had.

In my fifteen year career, I have never experienced such a disrespectful or chaotic interview process.
Constant rescheduling. Repeated miscommunication between the recruiter, scheduler, and hiring manager. Texted at 1am to move an interview to 8am the same day. Strung along for more than a month after completing 6 interview, and called back to do multiple “final round” interviews.
Throughout my interview process, multiple interviewers spent time criticizing the person who held the role previously.
Reading other reviews of interviews at Cruise before I started my own interview process, I thought I was prepared for the chaos and disrespectful attitudes I might encounter, but I was still shocked by how poor the process was.
I would not have accepted an offer, as it was clear to me that this is a place that does not value people or their experiences.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Questions about collaboration, dealing with conflict, leadership, strategy, previous experiences.
Recruiter reached out to me via email to setup phone screening. After screening I was told the next step would be a virtual interview with the hiring manager and then the team. I was asked to send the recruiter my resume and officially apply for the role on their site. I did all of that and the recruiter disappeared. It’s not been over a week. Why waste a candidate’s time if with all of this if you aren’t even going to bother interviewing them?
