      Entretien pour Marketing Operations

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez CrowdStrike (New York, NY) en févr. 2023

      Entretien

The first initial interview was fine. Spoke with a lovely lady who put me through to the next stage. The second interview was conducted by an arrogant person, who would have been my direct manager. They said things such as "Usually in marketing operations, you're so back-end that no one knows what work you're doing. You have to get used to that in this role." They also stated that the role was either 9-5 or 9-6, but then stated there was a system in place that would track how quickly we responded to tickets. We would then get quarterly reviews and "graded" out of 10, with the "worst" employee having the lowest score. I presume this would then affect our bonus and be used as a fearmongering strategy to get us to work overtime, essentially for free. Several departments are expanding within Crowdstrike but the interviewer stated there was a high turnover rate, which I'm glad he admitted, but this also highlights bigger issues at a management level. Big red flag for a modern, technology company, which is apparently building a "diverse, equitable and inclusive culture". The pay they offered was decent for a mid/senior role but I got the impression that I would not be working these "normal" hours, but instead working around the clock, to ensure I wasn't scored lowly. The role was "fully remote", yet we could only work from our home country - so not actually fully remote. As a cyber security company, you think they would have relevant security measures in place, to allow employees to work from abroad. Seems like this isn't a security issue, but a lack of trust from management... Narrowly dodged a bullet here. I have worked for several tech companies in marketing, operations, and sales but this role sounded dreadful. If you're happy being a corporate slave, then this is the job for you. The pay might seem reasonable but if you include all your "free" overtime, you may as well have a less stressful minimum-wage job, where you work the actual hours stated.

      Question 1

Why do you want to work for Crowdstrike? Have you ever used a ticketing system? - Not many other questions, simply the manager bragging about his own experiences and
