30 min recruiter screen 30 min basic interview/conversation with hiring manager 1 hour live tech demonstration that is kind of absurd. The hiring team apparently expects you to be a pen-tester or CEH as the demonstration entails identifying a vulnerability and executing remote code to gain control of a host machine. You must then mock sell a solution to prevent such an exploit using a theoretical or existing product/tool. This is all done live on your own machine using free VM and hacking tools (Kali, metasploit). I’ve never encountered anything like this for any company interview. This feels a little bit like the company is looking for prospective employees to do some work for them. Overall, I decided to back out of the interview because of this challenge; I’m an engineer, not a hacker.

The interview process was initially with the HR recruiter, followed by two 30-45 minute conversations with SE Management. The technical aspect of the interview process was a 1 hour live demo, followed by a call with each of the Sales Reps I would be working with.
