I applied online and was sent an email directing me to take an online exam. I've seen this before and knew it was a waste of my time so I didn't bother. 10 days later someone calls me to encourage me to take the exam. He sounded annoyed that I hadn't taken it. He said there were many applicants and wanted to know if he should keep the application open. If there were many applicants they wouldn't be calling me. I explained that I am not interested. He pressed on as to why. I explained that this was not a process I saw value in. He was nice but annoyed at my reply. We need to get back to basics. Email a resume - not through a form. Call the applicant for a brief call and meet them if necessary - once, for no longer than an hour. I think video interviews are just as good as in person and it shows a greater respect for people's time. Projects, presentations and tests are ridiculous and do nothing to increase the odds of hiring the right person.

2 hours worth of assessments and skills tests.
A ridiculous request before ever getting to speak to anyone. Even more ridiculous that the next step showed 3 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES of "Real Work Assessments".
So the ask is "Do 5 hours and 40 minutes of work and then we might invite you for an interview". Unacceptable and tells me this is not somewhere that values people.

The first correspondence with them was an automated email to take a bunch of assessments. No thanks. I think I will pass on that and join an organization who decides on my candidacy by actually conversing with me like human beings.
