- I applied for the Senior SDET position and have experience of ~12 years.
- I got a call from a recruiter followed by HM screening and then a technical panel interview
- Recruiter was very professional and always kept me updated about the process.
- HM interview was again very good, he explained to me the role, how the company operates and asked some very nice and relevant questions related to the job profile. The questions were not very difficult but good enough to effectively screen the candidate.
- Tech panel interview was the biggest disappointment. The person taking it was courteous and punctual but the content of the interview was not well designed for the job title and experience. One of the coding problems he asked could only be solved using a stack and you need to know the exact mathematical formula for exponentials etc. to solve others. Vector/Stacks are one of the least used data structures. Interview focus should be to find out how the person is in problem solving/ critical thinking using commonly used constructs and not if he/she can remember each data structure, though you may not use it in practical life ever. Cornerstone being in LMS domain, I had much higher expectations that, they would groom their interviews better. They surely will be missing loads of good people given their lack of focus in the right areas.
