I was contacted by a recruiter about two weeks after submitting my application, followed by a phone screening. A week later, I was invited to the first interview, and from there, the process moved quickly. I had two rounds of interviews and received an offer shortly afterward.
The first interview was a one-on-one virtual meeting, structured as a portfolio presentation followed by Q&A. The principal I spoke with was kind, attentive, and took the time to explain Corgan’s structure, design process, and expectations. He later became my supervisor, which made the introduction even more meaningful in retrospect.
I was then invited for an on-site interview in Dallas, and Corgan covered all travel expenses. The day consisted of three parts:
(i) Lunch with peers – The principal from my first interview met with me beforehand and made it clear the lunch was informal and wouldn’t impact hiring decisions. That gave me the freedom to ask honest questions — even ones I felt hesitant to bring up in a formal setting. It gave me a great sense of the team culture and working environment.
(ii) Office tour – I got to see their model shop, media lab, social areas, management offices and workspace. It was impressive to see how well-resourced and well-organized the studio was.
(iii) Final interview – I met with two other principals, which wrapped up the formal portion of the day.
The visit completely changed my impression of the company — I had been leaning toward another company prior to the trip, but the experience in Dallas, combined with how thoughtful and transparent everyone was, shifted my perspective.
The HR team was also incredibly friendly and responsive throughout the process. For a firm of this size, I was genuinely impressed by how efficient and communicative they were. From initial interview to offer negotiation and onboarding — including my relocation from another city — the entire process took under three months.
