It was weird process altogether,
There were no technical rounds for a technical position.
2 rounds of phone interviews with HR and Director of Technology.
Onsite with potential team member(yes singular) and VP and Director of Technology. Questions about my experience and what I can do. I think I did really well, but not sure what worked against my candidacy considering I didn't even apply for this position. I was reached out to by the HR.
But have to specifically mention one thing here, the HR ghosts on you big time. He calls you for a phone interview, takes all details, doesn't answer questions, doesn't convey the information you provide to the interviewers and doesn't convey the result once it has been decided.
All in all, this is the perfect example of how HR shouldn't work. But I guess they take it for granted as they are in an initial phase. But the culture and practices that are set up initially in the organization and they seldom change as the organization grows.
