I received the mail through the recruiter and when I applied , I got a very prompt response. I was called for an interview on mutually agreed date. I was to be interviewed by a Engineering Team and not from somebody in Product Management.It was a bit perplexing but I was very excited about this interview and took a leave of absence even when some one from my HQ had come.
The person who interviewed me(was an Engineering Director)had an escalation hence apologised and informed me that he would have to work and talk. It was a bit disappointing but we carried. The questions were generic and it continued on 30-35 mins. I was also supposed to talk to VP engineering but he had "left due to an emergency".
Next day I was informed that I was rejected.
I have a very sincere advice to the Product Management Leadership Team @Apttus -
Please understand the screening of a Product Manager has to be done by Product Management and not from an Engineering Leader. The Engineering Leadership understands the Product Management Process but really doesn't have the skill to judge a product management profile. Some of the questions never tested my product management skills but how to deal with senior engineers , architects, which is one of the part of the product management job profile.
I have attended few product management interviews prior to this ,where the hiring manager(from Product Management) had reached out to me and done the initial screening.I had met engineering leadership and their feedback was just on of the parameters.
Kudos to HR team for very professional conduct.

Very professional throughout the process. Had phone interview with hiring manager first, then the director of talent management. After that, had 4 in person interview.
Appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process. Only feedback is I wish they provide a reason why offer was not extended, even if minuscule, so the candidate can take something from it. Especially after 5+ interviews.

HR should seek for the suitable candidates for the positions and shouldn't waste candidate time if the requirements are not matching with candidate's profile. HR should describe the exact roles and responsibilities in JD.

Some of questions were not relevant to the positions they were looking for
