A few recruiters connected me to the company and it took a few weeks but no one reached out to me. Finally, I reached the hiring person directly and the whole interview was less than 3 minutes!!! I practiced for a week and read papers on what they do but just a formality interview to say no

The interview process at Conception is odd, and it’s not clear to me who is ever a hiring manager. I also feel it is hard to understand what they are looking for to support their work. There is first a 15 minute screening call with the Chief of Staff. To be frank, I don’t think he really listened to any of my answers or considered my technical expertise. After that, the resume/CV is passed around the team to determine if you receive an interview or not. This is where I received my rejection in a generic email, poorly written, that did not even address me by name. From what I could gather for their opaque interview process, it seems like they mostly are checking if you are passionate about the mission, rather than if you have technical expertise that would support their ambitious work.
