I applied and was immediately contacted by the recruiter. We talked about my resume and past experience and how it would relate to the role. Spoke about the client and what qualifications were needed but they basically read off the job description to me. I continually felt coddled throughout the process as if I wasn’t to be trusted in interviewing with the client. I was sent interview tips via email and got called to be “prepped” by the recruiter the day beforehand, where again, those same tips were read off to me. Seriously? Telling me to make sure my phone is charged and asking me “did you make it to the interview?” after I had my call with the hiring manager? How insulting. The interview with the hiring manager was great though and was super professional. I just didn’t want the job anymore due to the recruiter and that it was a short-term contract position.
