Initial phone interview; medical writing/editing test (4 to 12 hour home assignment) is assessed by several medical directors; if test scores are competitive, expect on-site; interview with HR, account director, SVP of editorial and content development, 2-3 medical directors

All questions were expected - interviewers do not have formal training in what questions to ask so typically ask realistic, practical questions about ability to do the job, manage subordinates, and cooperate with peers; expect questions about previous employers' procedures/routines; most difficult was about managing poor quality work by subordinates
