      Entretien

tl;dr Comcast has good people but a terrible organization/structure I applied to their Engineering & Technology Internship in December through their career website. One week later (quick) I received an email containing a form where I could input my skills, interests, other info and availability for a 30-minute initial phone interview. So far, so good. The next day I was contacted by a recruiter, scheduling the phone interview for 10 days later. (Very reasonable, giving me time to prepare). The interview itself was great: mostly wanting to know about me, including background, resume questions and mostly behavioral questions. The interviewer called me on time and was very polite, making a good effort to make me relax in the beginning of the conversation. I believed it went well. The recruiter said I'd be probably be notified about their decision in around 10 business days. So far, so good. Now it goes downhill. One month after the initial interview, I followed up with the recruiter. He, once again, very politely, responded the next day (quick, good) saying that they were still conducting several interviews and that I'd one way or another receive a notification on the coming weeks. At this point, I had decided to let things run their course.... One and a half months later, two and a half months after the original interview, I once again followed up with the recruiter. This time I waited but there was no answer. By this time I knew I hadn't been selected, but I felt I deserved some closure. I reached out to the Comcast Careers Facebook Profile. They were very willing to help and said a recruiter would be in touch within a week. No contact was received. I reached out again (today) and was informed that I should receive further information during the day. Indeed, I finally received the standard 'we're sorry but you were not selected' email, giving me some closure. I'd like to make it clear that all the actual PEOPLE interactions I had, the recruiter, the interview, the Facebook page, were very pleasant. Everybody was polite and willing to help. The fundamentally broken part was the organization. How can it possibly take four months to give feedback from an interview? I was really interested in working with Comcast, specially in Product Engineering, but they've once again proven what the public opinion already thinks of them. It's a shame.

I applied online with my resume, and about two weeks after my submission, I received an email from a recruiter to schedule a phone interview. The interview was all non-technical and behavioral. Was asked about my background, and went through my resume.
