Recruited through linkedin, process involved a phone screen with recruiter and EVP, as well as an in person with the Sr. Partner and EVP. All seemed to go well, and I was told on more than one occasion that "they made up their mind, they want to hire me". After a week of dodgy responses from the corporate recruiter filling in, I was told that they decided to go with an individual with more sales/business development experience. Although I've worked in sales for 7 years, I found the resulting decision to be very odd, considering there were 3 open roles instead of just one. A few days later, I discovered a former colleague of mine was interviewing at the same time, with every comment, discussion, and response scripted *LINE FOR LINE* the same at every step of the process.
