This was an unpleasant interview--something I have rarely experienced. Seeing the recruitment contact's profile on LinkedIn with the seal #Opentowork, plus the unsavory reviews I have read, should have been indicative of the experience to follow. It was a virtual conversation. I logged in early, waited for nearly 5 minutes past the set time before the HR recruiter showed onscreen. She was looking down--no pre-warning/"excuse me" that she was looking at two screens. Just appeared onscreen and did not even look up at me as I started my greeting and started to speak. I actually paused to say that I would wait for her. Hearing this was when she looked up and gave me an obvious smirk to express irritation. I was floored. I went through the exercise nonetheless but clearly, she gave the "do-no-want-to-be-here" vibe. I dodged a bullet on this one, I think. Recently, I saw her profile again on LinkedIn, and sure enough, she is working with a different organization. This is the "face" the company was putting out there and they didn't even know it. She didn't even know that I am client based on having this benefit from my employer.
