After the introduction calls the tech part is in two stages - online algorithm + React app, followed by in-office backend task. After I was approved and got an offer we negotiated a salary and conditions (35K ILS + 0.4% of the shares). They told me to wait for after the Sep-Oct holidays are over for the contract. One week later they are still telling me that the lawyer is writing it and so on. Lastly I get a call from the CEO to inform me they are closing the position because "their investors said so". Meanwhile I 1) wasted a month by not applying anywhere and declining all incoming communications 2) declined one offer from elsewhere with similar conditions Unprofessional and embarrassing
