      Entretien

First I was asked to do a written "reasoning" test and was provided a calculator. It had approximately 12 questions and was basically a math test, which had nothing to do with the position requirements, asking math questions that most people have not done since high school. I met with the Marketing Director, and then was asked to come back very shortly after to meet with the Vice President and President. I had wonderful conversations and great rapport with all 3 of them and I was really excited about the company, the position, and the work that needed to be done. I received a phone call and was told that everybody loved me but they could not meet my salary requirements. I was told they felt I deserved what I was asking for based on my qualifications and experience, but in so many words said that they did not want to insult me by offering me such a low salary. I was honestly very saddened at this news, as I really enjoyed everybody that I interviewed with and was genuinely excited about the opportunity of joining the team. I wish they would have confirmed my salary requirements before they invited me for the first interview, because they wasted not only my time but the time of 3 very important positions at their company. The expectations and goals of this position were very high and I am saddened to hear that they are not appropriately compensating based on what achievements they expect their employees to make.
