I was told I would not be moving forward because "For a level II role, we are seeking an individual with fairly extensive python and SQL experience."
It is bizarre considering SQL experience is a plus, the salary compensation ($80-90K total) seems low for a level II role in Chicago, and a peer of mine had NO SQL nor Python experience and was able to get employed.
I think I dodged a bullet with this company.

Submitted an application and then heard back within a few days. Several rounds of initial interviews (phone for screening purpose), followed by a take home test, and finally an online on-site interview that took about 4 hours. Quick response after the interviews took place.

Such a weird interview. I was barely given any time to speak since the interviewer talked almost the entire time. Kept mentioning how they didn't understand technical stuff, which makes you wonder, why were they interviewing data scientists?
I'm fine not getting an offer, since there were lots of red flags: repeated emphasis on high pressure, long hours, bro-ey attitude, lots of talking about the founder. Like I said, I was barely given room to speak at all.
