I went through the HR phone interview session, after submitting my resume on the website.
HR will call you to ask several questions about yourself and your knowledge of the firm, but mostly they are hygiene in nature.
HR would first ask you to go through your resume. Aside from some behavioral questions, the main purpose of call is to know whether you are truly interested in becoming a banker, as almost all new hires for Citi come from the summer internship program.
The interview lasted for around 30-45 minutes.
After the initial HR interview, there will be an FGD session along with other candidates. During the pandemic, this is conducted online.
Overall it was a pleasant call and the HR really did well on selling the company. They highlighted the internal mobility and international exposure of Citi.

Interview process:
Applied online with a CV and cover letter, then completed a Plum assessment. A while later I was invited to interview. The interview stage consisted of two 30-minute interviews on the same day.
Technical interview:
The first interview was technical. Make sure you understand what the department you applied for does. I found the interviewer somewhat difficult to engage with. He repeatedly told me not to be nervous and came across as somewhat condescending and patronising during parts of the discussion, which made the interaction feel slightly uncomfortable.
Behavioural interview:
The second interview was behavioural. The interviewer was very friendly and polite, but the format felt quite rigid. It was clearly based on a predetermined list of questions, and after answering each one we moved quickly to the next, so it didn’t feel particularly conversational

How do recent global or economic news events impact the bank?
Asked questions on teamwork and how you respond to feedback.
It consists of a group interview, and you will be asked to present a pitch to employees at various desks. It was a good learning experience and I enjoyed the process.

Apply online with cv and motivation letter, followed by 2 interviews. First interview is mainly behavioural and questions are cv-based. Second interview is with the team lead consisting of behavioural as well as some tech questions.
