The process started well, the recruiter screening video call was fine, and the (unfortunately negative) response came in a timely fashion.
What is puzzling that even though I believe there is a strong cultural fit, I have experience to build on, and I would be very keen on supporting such a culture, there was no feedback, my request for the same was not answered, and the recruiter turned elusive afterwards.
Even though I would still be very keen on supporting CircleCI in their mission in the future, I don't know what to do for that, even if it's possible or not -- whether the negative answer was just due the fit with the specific team, and/or more experience is needed in a certain area, and/or their Legal team doesn't allow providing feedback, and/or the advertised culture is quietly deprecated by mid management, and/or my interview skills just weren't great, and/or it's something else.
What I have seen and learnt is that providing feedback helps candidates stay in touch to engage later, has a positive knock-on effect, and delivering it over the phone can be fine with Legal.
The company still releases brilliant material about building teams, I'm just uncertain on how sustainable is their journey, but I hope that they will eventually improve their process.
