      Entretien

Interview is easy. The environment and managers will seem somewhat bureaucratic, however, you are interviewing for a call center that has a pretty high turnover. About 50% of the new hires will not make it through training. Do not over dress, but do not wear tee shirts, flip flops, shorts, or worn out clothing to your interview. Do not wear perfume and after shave or heavy makeup. You will interview in a large room with about ten tables where you sit face to face across a plain table while other people are interviewing at the same time as you with other managers. You will be asked basic questions about your past work history, reasons why you want to work here, what you have to offer in terms of experience, talents, your strengths/weaknesses. You may be asked if you like assisting people and are you a problem solver. You may be asked to explain a time when a customer had a problem, and what you did to resolve successfully and how you may have been rewarded. So, if you worked in a call center before think of a situation that stands out and make a good convincing SHORT story of it. If you have no experience, try to remember a time you helped someone that made a difference, don't talk too much, just answer the questions in one minute or less. Be calm and don't talk fast or very slowly. One quality they are looking for is the ability to make your answers short, but concise and also a calm, cool, collected demeanor that shows patience and maturity. They will dismiss people who they believe are too "chatty", likely to carry on conversations with customers about anything but business. Don't glorify yourself, don't spend time talking about all the awards you've received and how wonderful you are. Good example: I love helping customers and I love sales. I made the top ten percent in sales in my last job and I look forward to exceeding this level of performance here. I love a fast-paced environment and I am a team player. I look forward to being an asset to the company. This is the kind of response that is most likely to land you a job offer. Do not stand up to interview as I once observed a young lady do appearing to put on a theatrical performance. She did not get hired. Never shake hands with the interviewer unless they initiate a closing handshake. Always say at the end, "thank you for your time, I appreciate the opportunity to interview today. I look forward to my new position with your company. I am ready to start as soon as you contact me. Have a nice day mam/sr. Of course only if you have the opportunity to say these things . If it seems like all you can say is Thank You, so be it. Remember too, a job with company is usually called an "opportunity", not just a position with them, so you must portray appreciation for the "opportunity".

Room full of ppl thinking they are going to interview for a good job. No privacy to interview. You interview in a room full of ppl all at tables. They ask a few token questions but truthfully if you are breathing and can read they will hire you. The interview was not truth as the job actually is.
