      Entretien

      The interview process was thorough and involved multiple interviews with key decision makers. The whole team was brought in for a panel interview as well as one-on-one interviews with the Director of Operations and VP of Sales. I enjoyed the holistic approach to the process as it allowed me to get to know the different personalities of the team.

      Emailed by recruiter following application and asked to provide availability. Phone screen with HR. Was told I'd hear back in a week, but never heard back about the status of my application following screening. Scheduling interview and screening itself were pretty routine, gave a negative rating purely due to the ghosting. Seemed like a nice company and team though,

We are moving quickly through early conversations but haven’t completed first-round interviews yet, which can sometimes delay feedback.       Went through all 4 rounds. In the final round the person I spoke with seemed more interested in asking about my previous employer - who is Chatmeter’s larger direct competitor - than getting to know about me and my experience. Then, after going through the full interview process, I never heard back from them which tells me a lot about how they conduct themselves. Chatmeter is overhauling they’re pricing model and don’t have the data yet to show if it will be successful. While they are good at retaining clients, they are not adding many (if any) new clients, and if this new model doesn’t prove successful in acquiring new business, I don’t know how they will be able to justify the additional headcount they are hiring. The plan sounded naive to me. My impression was that Chatmeter is a pretty simple platform/company trying to keep up as opposed to lead, and combined with their lack of growth this was not an appealing role. Pay was also 10-15% lower than similar roles elsewhere.

      Thank you for taking the time to review your interview experience with us. Feedback is very important at Chatmeter and you make some good points here- namely that we should have followed up after the interview loop was complete. While we're not in the business of making excuses, the person responsible for that aspect of the process was on travel during this time and it fell through cracks. It's also very important to us that candidates feel heard and valued and if your final interview didn't provide you with that experience, we'll work to continue to improve in that regard. Our interview process does include a series of questions posed to every candidate in an effort to uncover their role and level of previous involvement in similar projects they would be tasked with- this is not intended as an effort to solicit information irrelevant to the specific role a candidate interviews for. We're happy to report that we have had an excellent response to our new packages, and continue to excel in the service we provide to our loyal customer base. Our team is strong because we're very selective in our hiring process. With the state of the market, we've heard from many competitive candidates who experienced layoffs and are looking for roles with companies that will provide a more stable environment that will allow their careers to flourish. Because of this, we've had to make some very difficult decisions as our hiring plans don't support unfettered growth and we aren't able to hire every talented candidate that interviews with our teams. To reiterate, we truly value the feedback, and wish you well in your efforts to find a role that aligns more closely with your needs.
