I went through two rounds of interviews. The first was with a technical person who asked about basic programming concepts, React fundamentals, a simple linked list problem, and some situation-based questions. The second round was with the CTO, where we discussed the singleton pattern, Redis basics, my location preference, and expected CTC.
I was told this would be the final round, so I was expecting some update. Unfortunately, after that, there was complete silence—no response to emails, calls, or even messages.
Interviews take a lot of effort from candidates—we prepare, adjust our work schedules, sometimes take leave just to attend. If the company decides not to move forward, a simple “no” would have been far better than leaving someone hanging. It’s basic professionalism and respect for people’s time.
