Entretien
The branch manager called me a few days after I applied online to come in for an interview. I arrived ten minutes early, but was kept waiting for over an hour. When she finally called me in she looked me up and down and asked if I had a problem standing, I told her no, when I tried to shake her hand she just sat down. Then she said was that she thinks interviews are boring so she just wants to have a conversation. I could tell that English was not her first language so I agreed. She asked me to tell me about myself while she texted on her phone, clearly not listening to me and barely replying. I eventually mentioned that I have strong writing skills and she confessed that she barely knows how to write, but it's ok because that's not important anyway. She kept asking if I could stand all day, I got the sinking feeling that she was only asking because I am heavy set. She told me that she would get back to me by the end of the week, but I could already tell that she didn't like me. The whole thing took less than five minutes. It's been months and I haven't heard back.
Well it was very casual. Asked for basic information on past experience and education. Asked if I was comfortable handing money and interacting with customers. Very easy and similar to what you would expect from a retail position
Interview was quick. Interviewed with HR and then the branch the branch manager. Interview questions were STAR method questions and asked about past customer service experience. They take you around and introduce you to others at the branch
