Applied online, exchanged a few emails. Then we scheduled a presentation and talks with current staff members. It took them several months to reach a decision. Once I joined the paperwork (contract, social security) took a long time to complete, without justified reason.

They flew candidates in for a full one day visit. Quite straight forward and included a job talk. Met with all the people in the laboratory and visited the whole institute.
