Answered ad on trade publication. Was contacted within a couple of weeks. First interview over the phone, then was asked to go in and met with division director and others. Gave a presentation on the topic of my PhD dissertation. Was contacted again a month later to discuss salary requirements. Negotiations were rather swift (a few days), received offer a week later

Had an in person interview with a hiring manager. Immediately after the interview, I sent a thank you email, which received the response "thanks, we will be in touch." Despite sending 3 additional follow up emails, I still do not know what the status of my application is.
