The initial interview with the recruiter was easy, I was given a thorough description of the job and its salary and benefits. I was set up for a video interview with the group manager a few days later. At the start of the interview I could tell that the interviewer's focus was elsewhere as there was no eye contact made. Very early in the interview I was asked to cite language from various acts of legislation, which caught me off guard. The remainder of the interview seemingly went further downhill from there. There was no interest in discussing my experience or qualifications, or learning anything about me as a candidate. It gave an appearance that the determination had already been made prior to the interview.
