The recruiter encouraged me to slide to the project manager role that had just opened as my skill set, while broad, was more aligned with this role vs the one I initially applied for. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be moved forward but a few weeks later I got a request for an interview with a manager. This was followed quickly by a peer panel interview and a final with the department VP (all via zoom/teams). The interviews went smoothly and were very conversational and the team was very inviting.

Ghosted.
After a two month delay from the time I submitted an application, a recruiter contacts me to schedule an interview. Ok. Hiring freezes happen, company initiatives change, needs change etc. We schedule an initial screener interview over the phone. Ready to go.... No call. No email to say she needs to reschedule. After 10 minutes, I send an email asking if the meeting needs to be rescheduled. No reply. Not later that day. Not days after. Ghosted.
A note to Cart.com. Treat HR as a form of PR. This behavior is unacceptable and really casts the company in a bad light. Of course, we, the candidates know the turbulent nature of hiring and the stressors placed upon in-house recruiters/HR. Just as companies don't appreciate being ghosted by candidates, well-meaning candidates don't appreciate it either. Two-way street. Be better.
Thank you for attending my Ted Talk.

Question 1
Questions couldn't be asked because the recruiter didn't show up. Instead, I elected to take to the mirror and practice my responses to the presumptive questions that would likely have been asked.

Video Interview with the Hiring manager, a group interview, then a final interview with a director. It has a very start-up feel so it begins relaxed then there are a lot of direct questions about skill set and past experience.
