The hiring process was a mess and one of the worst experiences I had after I graduated from grad school. I had five interviews with the company (4 via telephone/or Adobe connect and 1 in-person which consisted of interviews with several people throughout the afternoon). Following the in-person interviews, I was told everything from they were waiting for the feedback from the interviewers b/c 2 went on vacation after my interview, to Carahsoft wasn't sure if and when they are going to hire another contract specialist. I wasted several hours interviewing with the company and several more preparing for the interviews, If they weren't going to hire why waste my time and if they hired someone else why lead me on for several more weeks. Additionally, the company seemed to have a retention problem and the hiring manager, in the in-person interview, seemed to be worried that I might jump ship the second I get a better offer b/c I have a graduate degree, but maybe starting salaries should be more competitive, they said starting salaries for contract positions start around 38K plus bonuses.
