Applied for a front-end developer role at Canva, had heard a lot of good things about the company so was really excited for it. The first step was an online HackerRank run of the mill algorithms questions for a senior _front end_ role.
The problem was not even close to the type of code/program that you would write on a day to day job as a front-end developer, now Canva has every right to interview however they want but I had better expectations from a reputable company like Canva who is known to invest heavily in their recruitment process, and from some of the old reviews here I had heard that they give you an application to design and the rest of the process is based on that but that's not what I got.
To top that off, I got 10 / 12 test cases right and the other two were failing for some weird error that I wasn't related to timeout and lost quite a bit of time on that so please get your platform checked.
Suggestion to recruiters: Someone who is good in speed programming has better chance of solving your HackerRank problem than with an experience front-end developer who is not well versed in these, and if you want to stand out from other companies, please do better than this

Interview was good. The guys conducting the interview knows his stuff. But the interview questions weren't really good, Some are old school questions and nothing to do with the role.
Overall, the interview process is good. The interviewer gave me another chance and suggested to apply later.
The first round was ok, building a logic for a simple kids game.
Second one includes 3 interviews back to back to back and was a but harder then I expected, The position was for mid-level developer.
