I was contacted by an external recruiter who was fantastic. She asked probing questions, dug into my resume experience and was very prompt with follow up. My information was then sent to an internal recruiter and an interview was set with the hiring manager. On the day of interview the hiring manager seemed hurried, if not totally distracted, during our time together. I agree with previous sentiment here, it doesn't seem that there was previous experience or training provided on efficiently conducting an interview. There was no effort to delve into specifics of my professional background, the questions were canned and peripheral -very "fluffy". I have a rich history of portfolio analysis and recommendation specific to the credit and lending space, yet no direct questions regarding my background were asked. Overall, the interaction felt cold and unpleasant.
