I applied for the HR Analyst (Technical Recruiter-Rail) job in November and my first interaction was with another HR Analyst in January who was kind and walked me through the process up front. This level of transparency is important to me.
The interview process consisted of a graded panel interview over Teams. If you're successful, you'll then be scheduled for a final in-person, informal interview onsite (where you're provided with a parking pass for the nearby garage).
Both interviews introduce the team members and they don't ask you to introduce yourself. Both interviews are structured with a set of behavioral questions directly related to pain points or general information gathering of candidate history and experiences. There were a few questions outside of the list, which helped with the flow.
When interviewing over Teams, the questions appear on the screen which is helpful for those of us who are neurodivergent and trying our best to navigate interview complexities.
For the final in-person interview I didn't know who I was going to meet other than the hiring manager and a copy of the questions asked were not provided to me. This may be an area for improvement.
While I was not selected after the final, the interview team were pleasant and the HR Analyst who communicated from the start of this 3 month process was professional and kind throughout. Thank you.
