Interview with 2 workers. They asked some questions about the final academic project and I was asked to draw some kind of an UML on a black board which describes the project.
Afterwards, I was given two or three programming assignments to write.

Write a function which receives a pointer to a "one-way linked list" and returns a pointer to its head of the list while the list is reversed. Required run-time is O(n). C++

Entretien
I was first contacted at a conference career fair. I submitted my resume to the conference. A recruiter from Cadence reached out to me and we met at the career fair. I had a discussion about my research with a researcher at Cadence. We also discussed what Cadence does, and how my research could fit in within the company.

I applied through Cadence Careers and received interview call approximately after a week. And interviewed with the respective team for a couple of days. Interview process was good and they were supportive.

Entretien
There were a total of 3 phone interviews over a period of one month. All the interviews were purely technical. The first interview was mainly for gauging my topics of interest and basic CMOS design questions. The second interview focused heavily on static timing analysis and little bit of place and route. The second interview focused primarily on automatic place and route flow and fundamentals of VLSI design.
