Their initial email was already full of red flags - their English was awful and they didn't even bother to proofread - but as they're supposed to have higher level projects I went in for the interview anyway. They didn't pay for my train tickets. It was more than 40 degrees C outside but they didn't even offer me a glass of water. At the end of the interview they gave me an idea of what their decision would be: they had told me not to spend much time on pronunciation during my demo lesson so I did just that, but after my demo lesson they told me I should have spent more time on pronunciation. Seriously. I said I'd followed their instructions but that didn't matter. Based on my experience, like so many so-called English schools in Tokyo, this place seems to be just another quick-money scammy joint. At best they are very unprofessional. Waste of time and money.

You are given a mere 10 minutes to give a demo lesson to two students at the same time. You are not given any information on their school teaching method. You are expected to read their minds of what they want. You must teach two students who have different levels of English ability. One is much higher than the other. You must use their antiquated materials. After your 10 minutes, they give you feed back on how you did in their eyes.
