My experience interviewing with CLEAR was mixed and, at times, frustrating. While the opportunity itself is compelling, the process lacked the structure and professionalism I would expect at this level.
Communication throughout the process felt unorganized, with limited coordination and clarity around next steps. There also appeared to be little consideration for candidates’ time—particularly given the requirement for an onsite interview at the airport, which creates an out-of-pocket cost burden for the interviewee.
Additionally, the interview structure included "interviews" with team members, including the individual currently in the role. While visibility is valuable, this approach felt limiting, as it didn’t leave much room for fresh perspective or new ideas.
Overall, the process did not feel as polished or intentional as expected, which made it difficult to fully engage with the opportunity despite my initial interest.

1st interview went smoothly and 24 hours later invited for a 2nd interview via video conference (took place a week later). I was logged in, on hold for 25 minutes into my interview time when I received an email notifying me that that I was not selected to move forward. I have conducted thousands of interviews and managed thousands of staff over my career. I have never "stood up" a candidate for an interview and while they were waiting had an automated response sent that they were not selected to move forward. Incredibly unprofessional.

Phone screen, then interviewed with HR. She described the process as requiring several interviews - ending with a face to face with the CEO. The next step was a panel interview with peers; which was an alarm. Neither of them had been with the company longer than a year, one only for two months. Neither had four-year degrees which was when I discerned that the pay we had talked about was fictional. They described an Enterprise Rent a Car environment where I would be hustling subscriptions to the happy people waiting in security screening lines part of the time while I grew the business on my way to vast riches.
Everyone was polite, but I felt the description and requirements in the listing were quite different than the job would actually be. No thanks.
