Saw their craiglist ad for an opening and applied online via email. Received a response from the Production/Recruiting Mrg who confirmed a time and date for an interview. The interview was very basic and short. I appreciated that she covered the job description and highlights of the company in addition to office hours, pay, etc. This makes it easier for employment prospects esp for candidates who are actively looking. I thought the interview went well interview as she noted my former experience match exactly what they were looking for. And she would really love if I meet the VP and that I would fit right in the company. And I confirmed an appt the following week for a 2nd interview with the VP. It was straight-to-the-point and to confirm and go over my resume in detail with my past and former job experience. It looked like it went well since she noted a few things with her note pad. The VP mentioned they were also interviewing a couple of candidates the same week. However, she did not mention if she would be in touch or when they were expecting the candidate to start. I was under the assumption that I would receive a response from either herself or the PM. A week went by with no email or response. The next following week, I sent an email to follow up and finally got a response from the VP at the end of the week indicating that they hired someone that was more qualified than I was for the position. I thought it was rather rude since I waited patiently to see if I was offered the position in addition to receiving a positive response from the PM and VP at the interview. They even showed me around the office in addition to a backroom that was stored with interior design products for their photo shoot.
