I was first contacted for a phone interview in August 2023. After more than 6 weeks, I was finally contacted for an interview with the hiring manager. After that, several more interviews were set up, with at least two weeks and no communication between each interview. I was scheduled for a "final" interview two separate times. The second "final" interview was with two managers from an adjacent team and it was very clear that they had no impact or interest in the role I was interviewing for. I completed my interview process in October and after 7 separate interviews and multiple attempts to follow up, I did not hear back from the company. I finally received an automated email in January - a full two and a half months later - stating that they had decided not to hire anyone for the role after all. It was an enormous waste of time and the lack of response after a two month interview process felt disrespectful.
