      Entretien

Started with a phone screen from a staffing agency that wouldn’t reveal the name of the company. Interview went well on the phone which led to an in person interview request a few days later with the company. Right before the interview with the company, the staffing agency reached out and said the company wanted me to fill out some paperwork to bring as a requirement before being interviewed later in the day. This was the first red flag as the paperwork was literally composing my resume again for them on their form by hand. The second red flag was this paperwork also required me to enter in my current salary, previous salary, at least four of my professional references with full address, and immediate supervisor with full address. Anyone interviewing knows to not give this information up front. I decided to proceed with the interview hoping to explain why I didn’t agree with giving away such information with short notice on the first interview. I arrive fifteen minutes early, interviewer isn’t ready and I sit in the lobby for forty minutes waiting. Right before walking out I’m greeted by the interviewer who apologized for the wait and we went to a conference room for the interview. Without any hesitation, before any questions, after sitting down the first thing he wants is the paperwork. I calmly tell him I didn’t fill out the form and that any information that would be on it is on my resume sans references, supervisor, and salary information. At this point he is visibly angry and refuses to look at the resume. He did not want ask any questions after this exchange, but allowed me to do so. After a few of my questions a second interviewer enters the room and I have a good back and forth with him for about five minutes while the first interviewer was glaring at me the whole time. While chatting with the second interviewer the first interviewer loses his cool, stands up and says loudly the interview is over. Second interviewer is surprised at the sudden turn of events, but falls in line with the first interviewer. I thanked them for their time and left. Avoid CB Jeni until they at least learn how to do a proper interview. They need to be reminded a person is interviewing them as much as they are interviewing the applicant. I knew beforehand the reputation CB Jeni had, so I wasn’t too surprised how things transpired.
