I applied and had a phone interview in two weeks. Then, I had to answer four essay questions and provide more general information. Two days later, I had one of the best interviews I had ever had in my professional career. They gave me earrings, and I felt as if the job was mine, contrary to similar experiences I have read about on here. I had another interview with HR and another with corporate. The latter did not go as well because their Skype software malfunctioned, which made the interviewers a bit frazzled, making me anxious. I pulled the interview off and was told in two days I was not a good fit. I do not understand why I had to put in 10+ hours from applying, interviews, essay questions and studying all the material, for them to decide after FOUR interviews that I am not a good fit. I have no qualms about putting in the effort or for being extra prepared but truly felt this company had no intentions of hiring me from the get-go because of similar experiences on this site. Due to the very similar negative experiences, I wonder if this company is not in the market to hire anyone but simply is gathering information about potential employees for a job that doesn't exist or, perhaps, they're just collecting information to see what they should be looking for in an employee in order to fit their "brand" or "culture". This entire process seems like a marketing strategy rather than a true hiring process, as strange as that sounds. It felt like a complete waste of time for both parties, especially considering the amount of interviews on this site resulting in no offer with similar experiences. Based on my experience with the employees when I interviewed in store, I'm glad I did not get the position. It seems as if not all of the employees are on the same page as far as professionalism goes and the culture the company attempts to perpetuate (dress code, communication skills, demeanor, attitude, respect). I am all for individuality but the experience made me hesitant to work there (regardless of the outcome) and made me no longer interested in their conflict-free product, as there are other conflict-free jewelry companies.

During the time of my interview, it was a very fast process from phone call, to Zoom meeting, to hire. They actually did reach out to the references I listed. The process couldn't have taken more than a couple weeks.
