Let me preface my review of Brightedge's interview process with the following: I did not get the job. Consequently, I may not be the best review to read in regards to preparing for the interview itself. Within this review, I will aim to however, describe my time at Brightedge's career day. I found the day insightful and organized in a clear coherent manner. As the interviewee, Brightedge's organization was comforting and helpful in predicting the course of my day. You will know when it is your time to interview, making the process, and day, less stressful than an unpredictable interview timetable. Brightedge did a fantastic job of organizing their career day's agenda to benefit their interviewees. In regards to the day's organization, Brightedge front loads their "sales 101 introduction" and employee panel prior to time allocated for the actual interviews. As the interviewee myself, I found it beneficial to hear from the company's employees, and learn what they were looking for in an interviewee, prior to the interview. I believe Brightedge's deliberate scheduling gives each interviewee the best chance to perform well. You essentially know what the company is looking for before any of the interviews begin! Additionally, I was so impressed with Brightedge's current sales development representative team. As any interviewing day is, the interviewees are most likely nervous. The company's SDRs were extremely gregarious, and welcoming, to me. I can only imagine that the SDRs' friendliness would not be the norm at most companies. As far as the interview process goes there is a mock sales call with a current SDR manager. What I appreciated about this portion of the interview was my particular SDR manager's ability to focus on the positives, yet also provide insightful constructive criticism. After the mock call with the SDR manager, you then proceed with two individual interviews one on one with a vice president from the company. After the interviews with the vice presidents my day came to a close. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my day at Brightedge. The experience was insightful and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of awesome people. Before I conclude, I would like to inform you that Brightedge places a heavy emphasis on "closing the conversation" (i.e. asking if there's any reason they don't see you fit for the position?). Be sure to close out every interview. Closing the interview (and most likely the sale, if hired) is a critical portion of the interview. Lastly, my only reservation with Brightedge and their career day is the lack of feedback I received upon my rejection. As Brightedge emphasizes, I closed the conversation by asking, "What could I have improved upon in the interviews that held me back from receiving an offer?" The answer I received was rather disappointing. In fact, it was not an answer at all. I was told that "I had brought my A game, and they could not tell me anything further." My frustration with the company's response quite possibly stems from my lack of knowledge and understanding of the corporate world. Nonetheless, I expected a company that preached closing the interviews so adamantly, to at least do the same with me. Reflecting on my experience and rejection, I could not help but to see the stark dichotomy, and irony, that became apparent after the way Brightedge "closed" the conversation with me. I took a day to visit the company, and interview (nearly seven hours worth of my time) to ultimately receive no constructive feed back or any justification on why I was not offered the position. Consequently, I can not say that I grew from the experience as a whole. If I spend a whole day doing something, and dedicating my time, I would like to have the whole experience come full circle, which unfortunately did not happen. Otherwise, I was very impressed with the company and my experience at their career day. If you are reading this review, I completely endorse pursuing Brightedge as a potential employer. I had a great experience during the career day itself, and got to meet some fantastic people. Good luck!

The first calls were good with lower-level managers. Very nice and friendly but it was obvious from the start this would be a job where you are heavily micromanaged. Get with the times, nobody wants to be stuck on camera all day with someone watching their every move. The final interviews with Sr Execs were very intimidating and made a couple of belittling remarks which made me feel very resentful towards the company. There seems to be really good money here but not at all worth it if you're selling your soul to make 100+ cold calls a day for a company with a toxic culture and boring tech. Don't waste your time interviewing here

The interview process for me at BrightEdge started out well, but by the end, it was by far the worst process I have ever gone through. The process took about a week so the company was moving very quickly. The recruiter was very nice, but I noticed several red flags in the beginning that I brushed off. First, I was told I had to complete an analytics and personality assessment. The recruiter had essentially given me the answers as if they were trying to hit a quota. They also continued to call me 2-3 times a day for 5-10 minutes at a time rather than schedule one block of time or emailing/texting. Additionally, I was told to really emphasize that I wanted to make money, which I found bizarre since that’s typically taboo in an interview. My first two interviews went well and the people I talked to were really nice. I was very confident I would land the job, and the recruiter kept saying I had nothing to worry about. However, my final round interview was where things went sour. The recruiter called me to give me last minute tips saying this was the guy I really had to impress. I thought the interview went well, and was hoping to get a decision back by that day, as they said they would. The recruiter texts me afterwards saying that I passed my interview, and would have another final that day or the next. I was very confused as the one I just had was supposed to be my last interview. Final final round comes around, and I am asked for 15 minutes why sales. Every answer I gave wasn’t good enough, even though all were personal to me and why I was interested in going into sales. The interviewer I talked to really rubbed me the wrong way and it showed that the company cared more about whether you could make them money rather than developing their new SDRs into AEs. Place seems like a sweatshop. I looked at the reviews for BrightEdge before interviewing and I ignored them. Please please please do not go through this process; just read the other reviews.

Absolutely terrible interview process. I was contacted by an internal recruiter to which I made myself available the same day to connect. I was not asked a single question about my skills or work history. The only valuable knowledge I gained from the interview was that BrightEdge has hoverboards in their offices. As someone who has been tirelessly applying to jobs after being laid off due to covid I am completely disheartened by the process of this company. After finishing up the call, I was contacted no more than 20 minutes later with an email that my interview was already discussed with the hiring manager. It seems like a recruiter was trying to fill a candidate quota with no intention of moving someone forward and my time was wasted in the process. Please changed your practices.
