I applied online. The whole process took 4-5 weeks. I interviewed at Bright Horizons Family Solutions.
Shortly after applying, I received an email to schedule a date and time for a phone screening/interview. I got a call the next day and was briefly interviewed over the phone (about 15 min. or less). I was asked questions about what I'm looking for in the job such as the age group I'd like to work with and also my background in child care. About a week and a half later, I got an email about an in person interview. I had to fill out a form with my information, a form for a background check and a copy of my ID was taken. I was then taken (in a small group of two) into the office where we were both interviewed by two directors of different sites. My nerves were a bit more calm since there were two of us interviewing at the same time. The directors asked us a bunch of interview questions from a packet (I'd say about 10-15 questions). After we were done with questions, we got the chance to hang out in the classrooms for about 15 minutes to kind of get the feel of what a typical day would be like. Next, about almost a week and a half had gone by when I got a call for a "second interview" / meeting with the director of the site I would be at. The interview was basically her asking me my background in childcare, age group I'd want to work with, going over pay rate, and telling me more about the job. Then she had me join the classroom I'd be working with for a bit. She then took me back to her office and said she loved what she saw and that she'd love to offer me the job. Next, she had me fill out a form to get my fingerprint scanned for a background check.
