Entretien
Bridgewater demands a lot of time to go through their interview process: watching videos, taking personality tests, filling out a chart that asks specific questions about your activities as an alternative to the standard resume. My first round interviewers in the group debate were very open and respectful (and the debate was fun!), but unfortunately my second round interviewers were disrespectful and outright rude, which was really shocking. I learned a lot about myself in the process, which made the experience worthwhile.

What is your biggest failure? If you are an engineering major, why don't you want to go into engineering now? How would the ethical issues inherent in the programming of driverless cars be resolved? Why don't colleges kick out underperforming students like the corporate world and replace them with eager, high-performing students?

Entretien
First, there were personality tests and lots of video-watching to learn about the company culture. Then, I was notified for an on-site interview three weeks later. The on-site interview included a group interview and 2-on-1 interview. We were each asked to think up a topic to discuss during the group portion ahead of time and one topic was chosen. In the group debate, one of the admins continually played a devil's advocate and though our group had come to a consensus on the topic, the admin purposefully kept bringing up the same opposing point, claiming to "not understand" our justifications. In the 2-on-1 interview, the two interviewers were cold, seemed on-edge and disinterested. All questions were open-ended discuss-what-you-think and how-you-would-approach-this types of questions. A small breakfast and lunch were provided, and we watched one video about Ray Dalio's culture and fit during lunch. Afterward, some people received additional interviews following their two and some did not.

Entretien
I had applied through our college portal and was selected for Round 1. We were sent an email to have a topic of debate thought out by us for the round one which consisted of a group discussion. We were sent in an MBTI and other personality tests (multiple choice) that were to be completed before our first round of the interview.
We reached the interview location, that was in our college campus, where we were seated and given name tags. Once it was time one of the company representatives called out 5 interviewees and walked us into a room with 2 other colleagues of his. We sat down, introduced ourselves and were told about how they planned to go about the group discussion. The discussion lasted for about an hour where each of our topics where discussed on for about 10 min each. One of the company representatives led the discussions while the other was taking notes. The discussions were very casual. And if the interview thought any of us wasn't participating or putting our thoughts across on a certain idea/topic, he would make sure he asked that interviewee what he/ she thought.
We were told that if we were selected for Round 2, we would receive an email by the end of the day and also get an opportunity to attend a company social that was in the evening the same day.
I hadn't received an email by the end of day and had figured I wasn't selected for round 2.

The group discussion was for the company to see how open you are to others ideas and thoughts. And how you would react to situations in teams. They are very casual.
