The interview process at Braze was extremely straightforward and efficient. I felt the team was transparent with me and cognizant of my time every step of the way. The main parts of the process were a recruiter phone screen, hiring manager phone call, writing assignment, on-site interview (about 3 hours), and video call with the CMO. In my particular case, I was humbled to be considered by the team for another open position, so I did have a second on-site interview, but that was by my choice, and again the team was very upfront and considerate of my time throughout. I very much enjoyed meeting with everyone and felt they understood that I was interviewing the team as much as they were interviewing me - they clearly cared about making sure I got all the information I needed and asked the questions I wanted. Ultimately, the role wasn't 100% the right fit at this point in my career, but I had a very positive interview experience.

The next step was an interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed my experience with more detail and I got to ask a lot of questions. The third step was a writing assessment that required a full comms plan and media strategy based on a successful campaign with a client. The team went with someone else with more experience.
