J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Bozzuto (Greenbelt, MD) en sept. 2012

      Entretien

When I first started talking to Bozzuto, it was in about July 2012. I had submitted a couple of applications online for the sales and marketing associate openings. About two weeks later, I was contacted from someone in HR who was interested in interviewing me for a position I had not applied for. After a brief phone interview, I was invited in the next day for an in-person interview. During that interview, I met with four different people including the president of the construction division of the company. Everyone seemed very nice. They asked basic questions in regards to sales and prior experience. Overall, the interview lasted about an hour and I was told I would definitely hear back "no matter what" by the end of the week. Well, I never heard anything back by the end of the week, or the next week. I called and e-mailed just asking for a status update, and received no feedback from any of the four people I met with. About a month later, I received an e-mail requesting a phone interview for one of the positions I had applied for. During the phone interview, the interviewer did not ask me any questions because she said I adequately answered them during my previous interview. Instead, she gave me a more detailed job description. After the phone call, I didn't hear back from her for another month. Again, I sent e-mails requesting updates and thanking her for the courtesy to chat to absolutely no response. The next time when I heard from her, she wanted me to go for an in-person interview - the next day. I had less than 24 hours to prepare, but was willing to do it for a chance at a job. During my in person interview (September 2012), I had a very enjoyable interview for a sales and marketing associate position with the property manager. Very easy questions. They asked a lot about favorites and least favorites from high school and college. I thought I was doing great, because at one point the interviewer said "Oh my god, you're hired!" She was loving my responses, and I felt totally comfortable. After that, I met with the property managers boss who asked me a couple of questions about why I was interested. Again, very easy. After this interview, I thanked the property manager and recruiter for having me for an interview. Following my e-mails, I did not hear anything for a month and a half regarding the status of my application. Nothing. I e-mailed about once a week to check in, and they gave absolutely no response. Finally, I got an e-mail from the recruiter in late October saying they had chosen someone else. At this point, I was so fed up with the organization, I did not care anymore. To sum it up: this company has the absolutely worst communication I have ever seen. Although people seemed pleasant in person, the fact they failed to ever communicate properly with me (or each other) shows the poor quality of their organization. In addition, I would like to add that they expect sales and marketing associates to work at least 3 weekends a month. For the salary (low 30s, no negotiation), working with Bozzuto is hardly worth the effort.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this role at Bozzuto. In my experience, there was virtually no work-life balance, and burnout set in quickly due to unrealistic expectations and constantly shifting priorities. The interview process involved three rounds—a phone screening with a recruiter, an in-person interview with the property manager, and a final interview with the general manager and regional leadership—yet the reality of the role felt very different from what was presented. The position ended up feeling like multiple full-time jobs combined: managing social media, handling leasing responsibilities, and conducting nonstop tours from 9am–4pm, often with little training or support. The company did not feel family-oriented, and consistent weekend work made it difficult to maintain any personal or family time. Management frequently came across as disorganized and unprepared, offering limited guidance to staff and little meaningful support to residents. Being placed at a takeover property added another layer of stress, with a tense and challenging environment that made daily responsibilities even more difficult to navigate. Overall, this did not feel like a supportive or sustainable workplace.

The interview process was pretty straightforward and easy. Not too difficult to get a job here. The work environment is okay. It largely depends on your direct manager and regional manager.
